Dear Adobe community.

I have a problem with exporten HDR files properly.

I have gone through the list of how to setup up your computer & the export box to HDR exporting. I'm doing it by the book but somehow HDR effect still dosn't appear on my exported images.

My Macbook pro M1 is from 21 so it should be able to handle it.

Maybe someone else having same issues?

Only a few apps will actually display HDR photos. First of all, you need a compatible format (PSD, TIFF, AVIF, JPEG XL I believe) and on the Mac, Photos and Chrome are the two most popular HDR-capable viewers.

"Doing it by the book" means nothing. Tell us exactly what you do, and more importantly perhaps, how you view the exported result. Very few apps can view HDR edits (I assume that is what you are talking about).

Hi Johan.

Thank you for getting back to me. much, much appreciated.

Yes that is exaclty what I mean. The HDR effect is not displayed on my exported files. My exported result looks like the images in library module.

Good point. I'll highlight what I have done when exporting my HDR files.

- this box is thicked off.

To enable HDR by default, select Edit > Preferences > Presets and select Enable HDR editing by default for HDR photos.

- the HDR output button thicked off.

select File > Export > File Settings > Select the file format from the drop-down menu > Enable HDR Output checkbox and then select Export.

- Made sure that the graphic processor is on.

Use Graphics Processor is set to Off in the Preferences dialog, you can continue to edit HDR photos, but the result will not

be displayed correctly within the main image view.

- My Mac is from February 22. which means it's compatible with HDR.

Hope it makes sense.

Can you post a screenshot of the settings that you used in the export dialog, make sure that the File Settings panel is clearly shown.

Also, you didn't answer the question from @JohanElzenga about how you are subsequently viewing the exported file, that's an important part of the process.
