Does the Book module (and Blurb) print in HDR from LRC photo edits? Also will commercial printers be able print jpeg output from HDR photos?

Correct answer Rikk Flohr_Photography

Until the invention of glow-in-the-dark paper, no printing activity will work in HDR.  Paper is not capable of the same brightness levels as a transmitted-light monitor.  HDR is not for printing!

If you export as JPEG from Lightroom, it will contain the HDR information, but realize that no printer can create output in HDR. They should be able to print from the JPEG in SDR.

Development for Print and HDR Screen output should really be two separate edits as their media have different demands.

Many thanks Rikk for your reply. I guess what this in effect says is that if we want to have HDR pictures then we will have to share and/or broadcast our work on some form of monitor! Still, the quality that better cameras and better processing software like Lightroom can give us makes the challenge of producing the paper and other materials used for printing outputs so interesting. So for HDR enhanced photos it will be monitor based and for gallery prints I'll be using an SDR process.!
