Healing Tool, using Tool Overlay "Never" in Lightroom Classic

While using the Healing Tool with Tool Overlay "Never" selected, Please show the sampling area auto selected by Lightroom. Auto, Always and Selected show the sample area, "Never" needs to show that too!

The entire purpose of Never is to not show it. So Nope, not a good idea.

The way I'm using the Never setting is when I have to continue working in the same area when Stamp, Heal or Content Aware doesn't correct the problem of removal. It's annoying and time-consuming to have to constantly switch back to selected after each adjustment just to see where the sample is coming from. Therefore, showing where the sample comes from, would be a big help while in Never.

I agree that this is not a good idea. I think that the only time when it is useful to know what the source is, is when you are not satisfied with the result and so you manually want to move the source area. But that is exactly what the 'Never' choice does not allow and should not allow, because then you can't clone/heal over existing healed spots (which is the purpose of using 'Never'). Lightroom would not know if you want to pick up the existing source in order to move it, or want to clone over that source again.
