Hello!

I found .heic Support in Photoshop and Lightroom CC but  not in Lightroom classic CC on Mac.

All meine 23200 photos are managed with classic CC but now i got an iPhone 8 plus and can't import photos from that device

When will LR classic CC support the new file format?

regards,

Peter

I shot 1 photo with an iPhone X set to HEIF.

Added it to Lr CC: Added it to Lr Web. Imported it into Lr Classic.

As you can see from all 3 of these screen shots, all go into the Adobe product as .jpg!

It doesn't solve it for Windows users.  The Windows Apps (Photos, Explorer, etc.) support HEIC.

You can use this API to load them:

See if you have a compatible setting in the iPhone:

Settings > Camera > Formats > Compatible  That should create jpg files for you until LR Classic can handle HEIC. It works that way on my iPhone 7 plus IOS 11.2.1
