Help....Lightroom is altering my edits after cropping photos

Has this happened to anybody else? After cropping an image (it seems like that's the key) my edited image will go from being vibrant and full of contrast to dull and flat. It has been happening the past couple months, but more common now and with my schedule being so busy with editing, i need this fixed ASAP. When I export the image after that happens, it seems to keep the dull and flat look.
I've attached two photos (not an edit I'd send to a client, this is just for demonstration purposes and maybe a bad one since the "flat" version doesn't look the worst, but it shows the difference it makes). One edit is full of contrast and the other is flat. I've also tried cropping before pasting edits and after cropping, it happens either way.

When I toggle between undoing the crop and redoing it, I can see the change in front of my eyes, however, none of my settings change in the basic panel.
Everything on my laptop (M1 Macbook Pro) is updated. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or has anyone else dealt with this? I can’t find any answers on the internet or any Lightroom forums that discuss this issue.
