Multi cam shoot, one cam was off, I have changed all photos metadata time but it still sorts to orginal capture time. Tried all 12 versions of Classic,  WTH am I doing wrong?  I've been doing it this way for years, but now it doesnt sort via the new times?

Please Help!  Thanks!

Thanks for your help. I fixed myself in the end. What I did was reverted images to previous time stamp, then redid the date adjust and it worked, now sortting according to adjusted times.  Totally weird. I've just had another look online for help with this and found this from a known bug in 2017.

They dont mention what the workaround is, but thought I'd post this up to help anyone else with the similar problem.

Thank you!

"I've just had another look online for help with this and found this from a known bug in 2017:

That other thread is about a bug syncing photos from LR Mobile to LR Classic, which is much different than your issue here. The bug was fixed a long time ago.  Unfortunately, Adobe threw away a lot of that old (but still useful) content when they migrated that feedback forum to the new platform here, so we can't see the details.

[This post contains formatting and embedded images that don't appear in email. View the post in your Web browser.]

1. Make sure you're sorting by Capture Time (View > Sort > Capture Time) rather than file name or some other field.

2. Triple-check the dates/times in the Metadata panel:

Because the fonts are so small, it's easy to make some common mistakes: the wrong day, month, or year; AM instead of PM; entering 0023 instead 2023.  (Many posts about this over the years.)

3. If that doesn't help, then configure Grid view to show capture date under thumbnails:

Then post a full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic) of the entire LR window showing the missorted thumbnails.

You haven't mentioned how you changed the Capture Time. The preferred method is to use the 'Edit Capture Time' option found under the Metadata menu in Library module.
