Help..!

My LR catalog lrcat  OF MANY YEARS (it's much too large, I'm preparing to start annual catalogs, but I realized this).

My LR catalog is being stored on my MacBook's iCloud. I just realized. How do I accurately and safely move this catalog for future use when needed?  (My photos within the catalog are stored on external hard drives).

Thank you for the guidance!

I don't agree with you. One catalog is all that is needed in most cases, and has many advantages over multiple catalogs, and very few disadvantages. People have catalogs that are over 1 million photos, and these catalogs work properly. For most purposes, annual catalogs are a poor choice.

You should be able to use Mac Finder to move the catalog file to some disk (or folder) that is not synched with iCloud.
