help wanted re moving images and Lightroom files to new computer.

I have Adobe LR Classic on a new Apple MI Mini computer. It has the latest version of Lightroom Classic catalog on it. I want to move all image files from my old computer (iMac) to the M1 computer. Do I also need to import Lightroom catalog files from the old iMac computer or will my images be picked up by the latest version of LR Classic catalog on my M1 mini?
