help with LR desktop version

I feel a bit bullied coming force into this chat room. 

I need help with activating my license.  I had top put the computer in the shop so I deactivated my license  now LR 6 is not responding

is there anyone who can walk me thru it

    There is no reason to sign out on either except to Deactivate so you can move the program to another computer.. I have no idea what Sign in stand by mode is. Never heard of it.

    But that might have something to do with LR Mobile which LR 6 can't use anyway.

    I have the subscription base version so I never sign out

    So here's an update on my laptop under the help file menu I am not signed in and I only sign in when I want to check for updates.

    but on my desktop I am signed in but if I sign out of LR and quit and then open LR again I have to sign in.  I don't have to do that with my laptop?

    Or  here's what it says on the desktop

    if you sign out you deactivate your license

    On the lap top it's in sign in stand by mode.  weather online or not

    The only thing I can suggest is to reinstall LR from here.

    Install Photoshop Lightroom

    Reinstall the Base program and the .8 update then try to open it. You will have to Sign in and enter the serial number, or numbers if LR 6 is the upgrade version, again.
