Holding Z or X with Caps Lock causes stuttering during rapid culling

Since recent Lightroom Desktop updates, rapidly culling imported photos has become noticeably slower.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a large series of imported photos in Detail view.
2. Enable Caps Lock for automatic advance.
3. Press and hold Z to flag photos as Pick, or X to flag them as Reject.
4. Keep the key pressed to move continuously through the series.

Expected result:

Lightroom should advance through the photos quickly and smoothly while the key is held down. Previously, this worked almost like watching a high-FPS burst as a video.

Actual result:

The flow now repeatedly stutters and stalls. Lightroom pauses between photos before continuing, making this fast culling workflow much slower than before.

Additional information:

I work with Sony α1 II cameras, producing RAW files of approximately 55 MB each. Lightroom previously handled rapid culling of these files smoothly.

My MacBook Pro has an internal 8 TB SSD and is normally connected to a 32-inch Apple Pro Display XDR. Culling is slightly faster when I disconnect the external display and use only the built-in MacBook display, but it still stutters and remains noticeably slower than before.
