How can I eliminate unwanted color with the adjustment brush?
I inadvertently got into a mode where the adjustment brush paints images red. How can I reset this to its original settings?

What you are seeing is the overlay that shows what part of the image is being painted. Tap the letter "o" on the keyboard to toggle the Overlay off.
