Post your version Number of Lightroom-Classic from the Menu: Help>System Info...

Have you checked (ticked) the box for [Disable Auto Advance]?

A screen-clip of your [Tethered Capture Settings] dialog?

Perhaps a reset of Preferences and a computer restart is needed.

Lightroom-Classic v8.4.1 works for me with Auto-Advance 'Disabled' in the Tether Setup.

There is also the Menu: Photo>Auto Advance where you can click to remove any check mark.

    Hi Michel,

    Welcome to the Adobe Community!

As of now this feature is not available in Lightroom, however, you may add your vote to and ongoing request here: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/turn-off-auto-advance-on-import-when-tethering

There is a workaround suggested on the link above as well.

Please let us know if it helps.
    Regards,
