How can I upload original files without LR classic creating a useless additional local copy?
I have LR classic synced with the cloud, working with smartpreview online is great.
But as a cloud backup option I would like to store some orignals.
Problem is, if I upload them with LR web or LR non classic, LR Classic instead of recognizing "Yep, I have that im my library, I will link that and not download it again" it says, "uh I have that in my library, let me download it again" and puts a useless copy in the web download folder of a file that is already in its library. And if I deleted that it gets deleted from the cloud. I don't need 1 TB of data doubled. Also don't want to move 1 TB of data manually from the download folder overwriting the same files copy in its original folder.
LR Classic need to recognize that and not redownload a file that is already there in the same exact state.
LR Classic should have the option to "push original file to the cloud" from the library module so I could just select multiple files and make online copies in the cloud replacing already shared smartpreviews. And a way to remove them and go back to smartpreviews.
Both LR mobile and classic should be able to filter for smartpreview or original file to easily find and organize them.
