How do I avoid to get two copies when exporting?

When exporting pictures from Lightroom Classic CC I create a new bin for JPEG for instance and start exporting the developed picture. The pictures shows up in the new bin but ALSO among the already earlier imported pictures. I don't want TWO copies of the JPEG-file. I have tried in several ways to solve the problem and I cannot find answers among the FAQ:s. Can anyone help me?

First off any time you Export an image file what you are doing is creating a second file.

LR never touches the original image file, whether it is a RAW, JPG, TIFF, PNG or PSD file. The LR edits that you do to any file is stored in the Catalog file and only Displayed to you in the LR window. The only time those edits are permanently applied, Burned, to an image is when you Export it and in doing that you are creating a second file.

This is a guess

Do you have the box checked that says "Add to this Catalog"? If so, uncheck the box.
