Question

How do I batch process "Super Resolution" IOS Desktop - Lightroom Classic V15.1.1

Following the instructions below, I can not initiate a batch process for Super Resolution”:

Batch Super Resolution in Lightroom Classic 15.1.1

The key rule (important)

You must apply Super Resolution from the Detail panel with multiple images selected. Lightroom will then queue and process them sequentially.

Step-by-step (works reliably)

1️⃣ Select multiple images

  • Go to Library or Develop

  • Select multiple photos:

    • Shift = range

    • Cmd = individual picks

  • Best results with RAW files

  •

    2️⃣ Switch to Develop

  • With all images still selected

  • Make sure one image is active (lighter highlight)

  • 4️⃣ Enable Super Resolution

  • Tick Super Resolution

  • Leave Raw Details unchecked unless needed

  • Click Enhance

At the final step only one image is processed.

You can use a Super Resolution preset directly via QuickDevelop
Here I attach my own for your use.

it will appear in a preset group called “Enhance”

The outcome you describe (one image only is processed) is expected when using the steps you set out. However, if you activate ‘Auto Sync’ as last item in step 2 or add ‘Sync Settings’ as last item in step 3, then Super Resolution will be applied to all images.

Note the time required to enhance multiple images is significant.

BTW, there is no such thing as iOS desktop. iOS is for devices such as iPhone or iPad. I suspect you mean macOS

Hi Ian. Thanks for your reply and the macOS correction. Where will I find the button/activation to “activate ‘Auto Sync’ as last item in step 2?”

or “’Sync Settings’ as last item in step 3”.

PS..when I tick/select the Super Resolution box (having selected multiple files for correction) just one file immediately edits.

    Cheers

AutoSync can be turned on/off for the Develop module, only when multiple images are selected. Also, independently, for the Library module.

When multiple images are highlighted, a button at lower right of screen changes from Previous to show Sync. Next to the Sync button is a toggle switch. Clicking this switch toggles AutoSync on or off. While this mode is active, anything you do to the current image (the focused one) applies automatically onto other images currently highlighted as well, if any.

And this behaviour does not self-cancel after your current operation: it continues happening.

Therefore, it is safest to keep AutoSync generally turned off -  apart from when you do consciously intend to work “in the batch”.
