Question

How do I bridge the on-screen proof/ output printing gap from a Mobile Studio Pro to my Epson printer?

Hello,

I am teaching in a school that just got a new class set of Wacom Mobile Studio Pro computers for our photography lab. These are great machines and we are enjoying them very much, but are struggling with printing our photos. Our screens can produce more colors than our printer can, so our output is always very different than our proofs on screen.

We have tried matching the color profiles and tried an endless number of different settings to try and get accurate prints, but can't seem to get it right. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this difficulty and may have some tips, or if using a color calibrating tool would be a solution? If so please help; my students are anxious to start printing their work!
