Question

How do I copy an update file to another computer

My desktop has been downloading the update to LRC 12.1 for a couple of hours, it is now 2/3 of the way done.
I'd like to update LRC on my laptop as well, but don't want to bog down my network connection for another three or four hours.
Where is the update file for lightroom kept so that I can just copy it over my lan in a few minutes rather than do the download dance for even more hours?

Perhaps:

go to this link:

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/download-availability.html

On the web page that comes up, in the first section, Creative Cloud, in the first row, click on the link "Download and install your creative cloud apps"

A different page will appear, and if you are signed in, your products will show up as available for download.

Thanks, but that is just how to download the file from Adobe, I was doing that through the updater.  The question is that once I have downloaded the file to one computer, how do I copy it to another computer over my (gigbit) lan rather than my (megabit on a good day) wan?

I could just copy
/Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app
to my other computer, but I don't know if upgrade/installation involves other things being run as well.

Hmmm, actual problem is why is the update taking so long. Should have been more along minutes, not hours. (maybe 10 minutes?)

Is this over ethernet or WiFi?

Does the update get stuck at a particular % done?

Assuming you updated PS, Lr, and perhaps Bridge recently, did they take so long?

The previous time you updated, perhaps upgraded LrC, did it take so long?

I cannot state that a lot of members with your problem have found out that restarting the computer then trying again have had good luck, just a few, have you tried that?

It's over gig ethernet to my DSL connection, but DSL can really suck in the rain.
I have no use for PS, LR for cell phones, or Bridge, I just process my raw files.
I don't remember how long it took the last time.
Ookla speed test is giving me about 2.3 Mbps down, and about .47 up.

I'm not in the city where I get nice fiber speeds.
