How do I copy my Lightroom Catalog from my iMac to my laptop? My iMac is getting old.

My iMac is too old to update my Lightroom CC.  I want to use my laptop from now on.  I have it connected to an external monitor

FYI>. My catalog is on my iMac but the photos are on an external hard drive.

    This is very commonly done because everybody gets a new computer eventually. Since Lightroom Classic was first released in 2007, I’ve migrated my Lightroom Classic catalog through many Macs.
