Question

how do I remove Recent Files showing after selecting a source

I have tried everything to delete Select A Source dropdown when importing an image(s):  a question in a browser or a video.  Nothing because they do not address bulk deleting.

Recent Files: (Desktop)  You will see a box. Scroll all the way to the bottom.  There is a prompt: Clear Recent Paths.  Click.  They’re gone!

    Hi @Warmbrain501!

Sorry to hear you’re running into this. What you’re seeing sounds like Lightroom Classic’s saved import path history, not a problem with the photos themselves.

In the Import window, open the Select a Source or Destination menu, scroll all the way to the bottom, and choose Clear Recent Paths. If the list is very long, press Home to jump straight to the bottom of the menu.

That should bulk-clear the recent locations in one step. If you are still seeing entries afterward, it would help to know whether this is happening under Source or Destination, and which version of Lightroom Classic you are using. All of this information will help us investigate the issue further and assist you accordingly.
