Question

How do I view PSDT files in LRC?

All, I have several psdt files that I would like to manage in LRC but I am unable to import or view the files.  In my finder there is no thumbnail either.  I am left with having to open the file via PSD or use the online library with Adobe taking up  my online memory space.  I just need to see what the file is via a thumbnail.  Any suggestions?

PSDT files are template files for projects like business cards or posters or things like that. Probably for something like InDesign. I don't think LrC is the best choice for that kind of project.

Yeah its strange because I can view the previews in the Adobe Cloud file browser but no where else.

Use Photoshop or other program to convert to PSD, then import those into LrC.

Thank you but that sort of defeats the purpose of just viewing the psdt file.  That duplicates my files or if I convert it to a PSD will it retain all the functionality of the PSDT file?  It is strange because I can view the files in my Creative cloud library but there is a block to viewing the file outside of the cloud library.  I am not sure but I do think that prior to the latest update I could view the PSDT files in LRC.

I am not aware of LrC being able to (ever) open PSDT files. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/supported-file-formats.html

if you want to view a PSDT file, Lightroom Classic is the wrong choice.
