Question

How to access shared albums created in LR

I have a number of shared albums that I created in Lightroom CC. I can see them online, in the desktop LR app and on mobile. However, I cannot access them on Lightroom Classic. Lightroom Classic is synced and I have a From Lightroom collection but it is not current. Please help! I would like to use LRC to create a book from one of these shared albums.

If your LrClassic catalog is indeed synced, then you should be able to see in LrC any album created in any of your cloud apps. It will appear as a collection, and should be in the "From Lightroom" collection SET in the LrC Collections panel (have you expanded that collection set to see the contents?). What do you mean when you say that the From Lightroom collection is "not current"?

Click on the cloud icon (top right) in LrC to see the sync status. If it shows "Synced", do a comparison of the image totals, i.e. compare the All Photos total in one of the cloud apps with the "All Synced Photographs" total in LrC. Are they the same?

I suspect that you have done this backwards, you started with Lightroom Lr instead of Lightroom Classic. LrC. Had you started with LrC, created collections (for sharing) and then sync's those collections, to mobile, or to Lr, or to the Web, you would already be in good shape.

Not a user of Lr, not big on sync, so wait for other members to comment.
