How to compare 2 catalogs

Hello,

I had a big issue on my Catalog and I realised 3 months after that the synchronization with the cloud wasn't working anymore.

After a few investigations I realised that the catalog was partially corrupted and I would like to retrieve the work done during the past 10 years.....

All the easy solution are not working (exporting all the catalog in a new one, ....) So I decided to start again from the last working backup (3 months old).
So I need to have a clear understanding of what have been done on my Catalog since then.

That is the reason why I am looking for a way to sort the images of my Catalog by date of the last modification or at least to export a list with the date of latest modification.

By latest modification I mean modification on key words, development, collection or directory.

Does someone have a brilliant Idea 💡?

Thanks a lot for your answers
Best regards
Laurent

Correct answer johnrellis

Internally, LR maintains a Last Edit Time field with the date/time the photo's metadata was changed, which includes keywords, any metadata fields shown in the Metadata panel ,or changes to Develop settings. But it doesn't include changes to the collections containing the photo or its current folder.

The Any Filter plugin's Sort command can sort photos by Last Edit Time, and it can export a CSV file with the photos' paths and Last Edit Times.

VERY IMPORTANT: Don't use the plugin's Search or Filter commands -- they will overwrite the Last Edit Time of all photos to "now".
