How to lock Lightroom Classic interface?

All,

I sometimes inadvertently click on a triangle or some other interface/tools changing spot on the Lightroom screen display. I'd like to find a way to require a conscious "step" to open the interface controls. I rarely change anything in the Lightroom panels since I re-jiggered the tools to serve my needs. Adobe's page about the interface offers no mention of such a fixed "state".

The most annoying example for me is the way the "Navigator" window closes.

Suggestions? Thanks, in advance.

Correct answer Just Shoot Me

Right there is NO Fixed State. The panels in all modules can be hidden, collapsed, by clicking on the triangle near the Edge of the LR window.

I suggest you be more careful on where you are clicking.

I never, I I really mean Never, hide, collapse, those side panels unless I want to.

Just Shoot Me: funny! My Mother always told me to watch where I clicked. <grin> I promise I don't like having my panels disappear when I am trying to get the editing done. I think I have too tight a grip on the mouse. Again, something my mother counsels against.

Thanks to you and John, especially for confirming my suspicion - after my few minutes of research - that there is no fixed state I can require Lightroom to maintain, to be unlocked when some change is called for.

Right click the side panels and set them to Manual. Then you can use F5 - F8 or click specifically on those panels.
