Question

How to merge photo presets in Classic and CC

I encountered a compatibility issue between Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC.

I edited a photo using Lightroom CC mobile, which I had loaded from my camera via the camera's app. Later, when I got home, I loaded the photos from my camera into Lightroom Classic. When I tried to copy the develop settings from Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic, I noticed that the photo looked different. It seems that the white balance didn't apply correctly, and the profile was different as well (Adobe Color vs. Color). While the scales of the temperature and tint are the same, the starting points differ.

Does anyone know how to bring my edits from Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic? It seems like a compatibility bug to me.

I wonder why people Import camera files to Lightroom, and then, when they get home, they import them to Lightroom-Classic once again.  There is no need to Import to Lr-Classic! If 'Sync' is turned on in LrC then the photo, and its edits, will automatically download from Lr to the LrC catalog, with the edits done in Lr also syncing. There would be no need to 'Copy develop settings' as there shouldn't be two versions of the same image in LrC or Lr.  SYNC SETUP IN CLASSIC

White Balance 'numbers' may not match exactly numerically as each app may interpret WB differently. It is often noted that Lr-Classic does not show the exact same WB as might be set in a camera.

Profiles (Adobe Color vs. Color) are easily changed in either App.

Your screen clips are both from Lightroom- are these from different photos?

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .
