How to migrate collections from one catalog to a new catalog in LrC

How do I migrate collections from an old catalog to a new one?

The old one was corrupt and slow so I had to start a new one from scratch.  How do I export the collections from my old catalog and import into my new one?

The old one will open but after a while it slows down and hangs due to the corruption issues.

This is the Lightroom Forum. Lightroom is a different app than Lightroom Classic. Since you are referring to the catalog, I assume you are talking about Lightroom Classic.

I suggest you post in the Lightroom Classic forum for the best answers

Hey, @alexfreund. Welcome to Lightroom Classic Community. I'll help you figure this out.

What version of Lightroom Classic works best with your catalog, which may be corrupt? You can carry the entire catalog forward by duplicating the catalog in the version of Lightroom Classic where the catalog was last working.

Please follow the steps that I've shared here and let me know if this helps: https://adobe.ly/47jTD3A

Thanks!
