How to over-ride lightroom standard missing originals dialog

Plugin I'm working on might try to publish eg. 100 collection sets in succession. It gets annoying if originals are missing (which they are for older pics). I want to have a setting for the use of smart previews Never, Always or Prompt. The first two over-ride the lightroom publishing standard dialog, the latter allows it to show. Any suggestions on how to achieve that if it's at all possible?
