How to relocate Mobile Downloads.lrdata?

PLEASE implement a possibility to choose the path of the

Mobile Downloads.lrdata

Everything else is a workaround!

I know there are various threads about this topic, but I don´t find a solution:

I have set the standard location for mobile downloads to my external drive. I reinstalled Lightroom.

Still, the mobile irdata file is growing and growing ... I simply do not have enough space on my internal drive.

And yes, I tried to shift the data manually in the correct folders within lightroom but again and again I find new pictures in the downloaded folders. I feel they start to double.

Is there a way to make a clean cut and "reset everything" and pulling all data in my standard catalogue on my external drive?
