Question

How to remove lined pattern from a photo

I have an image scanned from a print on bond paper. The image has horizontal lines across it from top to bottom. Is there a way to remove this pattern of lines without going through each one individually?

I think you will have a hard, or impossible task. In LrC you could try masking and reduce texture which will add some blur to the image.

If you are knowledgeable with Photoshop and plugins there is this-

Beyond my capabilities but maybe others in the forum have an answer.

Scanning with a camera, and using lights either side of the original print might lessen the paper texture.

    Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

Here’s what Google’s Nano Banana Pro did, given the prompt: “Remove the grid pattern that resulted from scanning a photo printed on textured paper.”
