How to tether Sony cameras directly into LRC with live view?

Has anyone out there done this with a Sony or any other camera brand?

I tried to do it the other day by poking around in settings and setting the ones that seemed like they would be correct. But absolutely nothing happened. Do I need a special plug-in for Sony cameras? I have heard that Fujifilm camera users have to buy a plug-in to tether in LRC.

I need to tether two cameras: Sony A7r II and A7r IV. I am running the latest versions of LRC and Mac OS 10.15 (Catalina).

Nikon does not support any Sony cameras natively for tethered shooting. It will be necessary for you to contact them or look for a third party plug-in to provide that capability.
