Question

I always have a few photos from each import that get hung up on syncing to LR

I've had it in the past where some photos get hung up on the syncing screen and never actually sync. Right now I have it knocked down to 17 but every time I upload more photos then there's always a few from every collection that gets hung up.

I have gone in and tried to add stars to get it to resync, I have deleted some and added them back in with no luck, and I just rebuilt sync data. I still am getting the same 'uploading' activity with no progress.

What other ways can I get it to sync properly? I'm on Windows 11 LR Classic version 14.2 and I do have a zip file with LR diagnostics from syncing.

Hi @bryanc31400415! 👋

Sorry to hear you're having issues with syncing in Lightroom Classic. Let's try clearing the Sync Error folder in Lightroom Web to see if that helps:

1. Open https://adobe.ly/3DuX5fw and select the Sync Error folder under All Photos.
2. If there are any images in the Sync Error folder, pause the sync function on all active devices and make sure you have a backup of the pictures you were trying to upload.
3. Clear the Sync Error folder and empty the Deleted folder.
4. Once that's done, reupload the images.

Let me know if this helps! Thanks so much! 😊

I'm not seeing a Sync Error folder on that link, but in lightroom classic I still have 17 images that aren't syncing.

Hi @bryanc31400415!

Do you notice any pattern with the 17 photos that haven't synced yet? Were they taken with a different camera, perhaps? Do the 17 photos appear correctly in Lightroom Web, or do you not see them there either? Could you also go to Preferences > Lightroom Sync and check the photos that are failing to sync?

Thanks a lot!

Alek
