I am trying to migrate my lightroom classic to the cloud based Lightroom. I tried to follow the instructions but I do not see a migrate option under the file menu? I am running LR release. Is there a different way to migrate? 15.3

I would like to be able to access my catalog from multiple devices.  How can I do that as I don’t see migrate under the file menu

First- Is it your intention to abandon Lightroom-Classic altogether?

Do you intend to work only with the Lightroom apps?  (Lightroom-Desktop, Lightroom-Mobile, Lightroom-Web.)

Do you have enough Cloud storage that Lr requires to store 68,000 photo files?  (What is your plan?- 20GB or 1TB?)

Are you willing to spend the time uploading those full-size files to the Cloud?

Do not break your Lightroom-Classic catalog into smaller catalogs- that is a backward step not generally recommended. Your LrC catalog is not large.

Lastly- if you do intend to abandon Lightroom-Classic then the ‘Migrate’ command is in Lightroom-Desktop (Not Lightroom-Classic).

Personally I find that maintaining LrC as my prime editor, and syncing selected photos from Collections is a workflow that suits me, and I use only very minimal space in my cloud storage. (Syncs from LrC up to Lr do not use any space in Cloud.!). And phone photos automatically download to my LrC catalog with edits syncing LrC<>Lr..

“Migrate’ is intended to be a once only complete change from LrC to a Lr workflow. TBMK if it has been done once you cannot do it again.  https://www.lightroomqueen.com/migrate-from-classic-to-lightroom-cloud/

You cannot access a Lightroom-Classic catalog on more than one device (Local computer).

If you intend to continue using Lightroom-Classic as your primary editing tool then your best option is to create selected image Collections in LrC (or all catalog files if you must) and sync the collections to the Cloud to be available in Lightroom mobile apps, including Lightroom-Desktop and Lightroom-Web.

    SYNC SETUP IN CLASSIC

I don’t recall ever trying to migrate my primary LrC catalog to Lr.  I don’t even see the migrate selection on the file menu as it states in how to migrate.  Am I doing something wrong?  I have over 68,000 pictures in my catalog is that to many?  SHould I break it down into smaller catalogs?

    Thanks in advance
