Question

I can't connect the camera for online shooting

Good day. I bought a type-c cable to shoot directly in Lightroom. But! Lightroom sees my camera (canon eos r), gives the ability to shoot remotely (release the shutter), but I don't see any photos at all (just a grey screen). That is, there are no photos online at all! And I wanted to shoot directly in Lightroom and apply a preset. And it also doesn't save photos in the designated folder. What should I do?

1. OS

What is your computers Operating System name and number?

Windows vs MACOS can have very different issues and causes.

2. LrC version

What is your LrC version?

If recent, this might not be an issue, but if old, then their may have been a bug fix for tethering.

What version NUMBER of Lightroom or Lightroom Classic do you have? Do you get any error messages? If so, please quote the exact word-for-word error message.

No, there are no error notifications. Just a gray screen instead of photos.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
