What is the exact version of Lightroom Classic and the MacOs?

Exactly what happens? Did it start right after the Lightroom Classic Upgrade to V15.4.1?

Have you checked in the Mac Activity Monitor to see if Lightroom Classic is running and showing CPU and disk activity?
