Question

I can't update Lightroom Classic

I would like to ask for help. I can't update Lightroom Classic on my own Mac. There are no problems with Photoshop, but installing new versions of Lightroom only works if I uninstall the old one first. The new version doesn't appear in Creative Cloud either, until I delete the old one. I have already reinstalled Creative Cloud, but that didn't help either. This is an old story and very uncomfortable.

Thanks!

Please post a screen capture of your Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App. In the All Apps tab, without that popup.

Also, you state this MAC is yours, as in your property, correct? Not provided by a School, or an Employer, correct?

Followup, see:

Yes, the Mac is my own, I have all admin rights.

I train photographers and sometimes teach them how to use Lightroom. A Lightroom course started last week, so I already deleted version 12.4 and installed 12.5. I took a screenshot of Creative Cloud Desktop before it was deleted, I can share this. This shows that version 12.5 is not offered.

Maybe one of the system files is faulty or cannot be written, because when I start the update from the Lightroom menu, I get an error message: "Updates have been disabled for this machine. Please contact your administrator"

you can only install one version 12 app.  ie, all the minor updates use the same base app to update.

you can install different apps with different major differences. ie, v12 and v11.

same for all adobe apps.

Thanks, but your answer is not an answer to my question.

I would like to upgrade Lightroom Classic from 12.4 to 12.5, but I can only do this if I delete 12.4 first. (As I have shown in the attached screenshots)

I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Discussions to LR Classic.
