I installed three files with .xmp extension, can't find them.

I was give three .xmp files. the instructions said to use the "+" sign in the presets panel and then import them, I did, I have looked in the preset panel, can't find them, when I tried to reinstall them I was told they were already installed, so where do I look for them.
