I lost almost all my photos

While importing all my pictures, I accidentally pressed the delete key and now i don't see my photos on my sd card anymore. Are they recoverable? I need help asap.

Some of the card manufacturers provide applications for recovering deleted photos. Do a Google search using 'recover deleted files on sd card' or similar.
