I’m unable to import images to lightroom classic since last update in August 26.

Thank you for reporting this and for confirming you're on Lightroom Classic 15.5 with Camera Raw 18.5 on a Mac Mini M1.

To help us investigate your specific case, could you provide a few more details?

1. When you say the "Import Photos and Video" menu items are greyed out, does this happen immediately when Lightroom Classic opens, or only after a specific action (e.g., after a failed import attempt, or after the app has been running for a while)?

2. Are you running macOS Sequoia, Sonoma, or an earlier version? And have you recently updated macOS as well, or only Lightroom Classic?

3. Is this happening with all source devices (both your external drive and SD card), or only one of them? Do the drives appear in Finder normally?

4. Do you have any import presets or auto-import settings configured that may be interfering?

Troubleshooting steps to try:

• Copy a few images to your Desktop, then try File > Import Photos and Video and select that Desktop folder. This helps determine whether the issue is source or device related, or a broader Lightroom Classic malfunction.

• Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access and confirm that both "Adobe Lightroom Classic" and "Adobe Creative Cloud" are listed and enabled.
