I've tried all the google suggestions, but cannot get the menu headings 'FILE EDIT ..etc .' in Lightroom Classic. Need this to follow instructions in an Adobe video to fix another problem.

Sounds like you are in full screen mode. Press Ctrl-Alt-F (Windows) or Cmd-Option-F (MacOS). If that’s not it, then post a screenshot so we can see what’s wrong.

Nothing happened. Screen looks just the same. I’m not in full screen mode I know.

So what’s the problem exactly? You said “cannot get the menu headings 'FILE EDIT ..etc .' in Lightroom Classic”, but your screenshot shows these menus right where they should be…
