I want to safely delete photos in All Synced Photographs without losing the originals on my HD

I have over 16000 photos in All Synced Photos which are occupying 35.8GB of cloud storage space. I want to reduce that to below 20GB so that I can reduce my monthly subscription cost. When I've tried to do that in the past the original files got deleted on my local HD as well. How can I delete from the cloud without them begin deleted from my local storage next time I sync.

You go to All Synced Photos, and you remove them from there. The pictures will be removed from the cloud, and from any Synced Collections, but not from your hard drive.

    Thank you. That's most helpful. I still don't understand why my cloud storage space is so high (33GB). My understanding was that synced photos from Lightroom Classic did not take up any space in your cloud storage allowance.
