Identifying Duplicate Image Files

Hello. I am using LrC 13.2 (I believe) on a Mac running Sonoma 14.4.1.

I have many duplicate image files on my internal SSD and my external SSDs & HDDs which LrC uses. Does someone have a good 3rd party software program which can reliably identify duplicate image files which they might recommend to me?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Firislander.

I am not a Mac person, so recommending a 'Duplicater Finder' is not my forte. But sure there will be Mac apps for finding duplicates.  eg. PhotoSweeper    https://overmacs.com/

Now the problem with 'Duplicate Finders' that work externally to the Lr-Classic catalog is that they do not indicate to you which one of the 'Duplicates' is referenced in the catalog. So you might delete 'duplicates' that the (external) finder shows you, then discover that your Catalog has many "Missing" images, and you have a big task to find and re-link those previews back to an existing image file (one you did not delete.)

One Duplicate finder that works to find images IN A LrC CATALOG that are duplicates is a LrC Plugin-

DUPLICATE FINDER Teekesselchen: Home

You can find instructions here-   Duplicate Photos (Lightroom Queen)

I have suggested in another thread one way to use Teekesselchen by importing ALL photos (allowing duplicates) and then search and delete the 'duplicates' -
