Question

Identity Plate Font Size

I am printing multiple pages of images (essentially Contact Sheets but without an names or photo info, etc.)  I was trying to use the Identity Plate as the title for each group of images.

However, the font size of my titles seems to be strictly dependent on the size of the box for the Identity Plate - not the size indicated in the Identity Plate options box where you enter your specific text and pick the font.

It has been difficult for me to get multiple sheets of different groups of images to have the same title size becase the titles are of different lengths so the box is always of a different length and therefore size.  I can - by eye - adjust each sheet when printing them individually, but there is no precision to this method.

It appears that the Font Size selection box really has no effect on the end result on the screen and when printed.

My expected result is that when I select the same font and font size in the Identity Plate options between different image groups the resultant text font and size should be the same in each group.

    Hi @KSNelson!

The Font Size option in the Page module doesn't change the size of the Identity Plate. It only adjusts the size of the Photo Info you've selected. For example, here I selected the "custom text" Photo Info and the size changes correctly when switching between different sizes.

To change the size of the Identity Plate, click on it, then go to Edit, and select the size you want.
    Hope this helps!

    Thanks, Alek

My system seems to be operating differently.

Agreed that the Photo Info does indeed change correctly as the size changes.

However, when I go to the Identity Plate either from the side menu or by
double-clicking on the Identity Plate itself, I get a dialog that has an
option for Font SIze. If I select the text in that box and change the font
size, the identity text selected does indeed change size but only within
the box and NOT on the screen - the Identify Plate presentation in a print
    does not change.

Did I not do something correctly?

    Hey @KSNelson!

I understand. Unfortunately, the Identity Plate is quite limited, and it doesn't look like you can ensure a consistent font size between titles of different lengths. As an alternative, you can add the text in the Slideshow module and export the images as JPG from there. I just tested it on my end, and it maintains a consistent font size regardless of the text length. Here's a video on how to do that:

    Thank you!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
