Images disappear from Publish Services collections

Hi,

I use LR Publish Services to upload images to my website via a program called Backlight. It has worked perfectly for years. Each gallery on my website has its own collection in LR. For some unknown reason, I recently discovered that most or all of the images in most of these Publisher Services collections disappeared. The files are still on my hard drives and still in other LR collections. (I looked at my oldest LR backup, and the problem happened before that, so no luck there.) The integrity check passes and shows no issues.

Can anyone here suggest a reason why images would randomly disappear from collections in Publish Services while all other collections remain intact?

I am using LrC 14.4. on Windows 11 I am attaching a screenshot showing the Publish Services collections where you can see a number are empty--others don't have all the files that should be there. I have tried resetting the preferences, but that made no difference. As you can see, there are no ? to indicate missing images. That's not the problem--the images simply disappeared from those collections.

This is a real mystery since only the Publish Services collections were effected, and not all collections equally. Fortunately, I noticed the issue before syncing LrC with my website so no images were removed from the online site. (Going forward, I am able to use my web design software to manage the image galleries so I don't have to recreate them in LrC.)

Any ideas?

That does seem a bit strange. Just to make sure I understand, are you seeing this issue only with the Backlight plugin TTG Publisher? Or is it also happening with other publish services like Flickr or Adobe Stock?
