I had an older catalog on my C: drive. No longer available. My images are on an EHD. My main catalog is on my internal SSD drive.  I can see the images in collections on EHD but not in the date-based folders. I have tried to import the images from the C: Drive to My catalog but it says they are already imported. Any suggestons? Thank you in advace for any help you can give.

I have tried to import the images from the C: Drive to My catalog but it says they are already imported.

Then don't import the photos again. Find them in the Library Module.

Follow all four of these steps in order:

1. In the Lightroom Classic Library Module, on the left, under Catalog, click on All Photographs
2. Turn off all filters (Ctrl-L once or twice)
3. Turn off all stacking (Photo->Stacking->Expand All Stacks)
4. Search for at least one of these photos by file name using the Lightroom Classic Filter Bar

Does this mean that the catalog doesn't exists anymore?

EHD -> external harddrive??

That's a little bit confusing. You can't have collection on hard drives. Collection exists only in LR catalog. On drives you have folders.

Please describe more detailed what'e the issue. If possible post screenshot(s) that shows the problem.

Which version of Lightroom do you have installed?

Sorry for the misinformation. The old catalog on my C: Drive is no longer available. I can see the images from the C: Drive in collections in LR but I do not see the images in the date-based folders in LR. Also, I should say that these images are from my iPhone not from traditional camera. Again so sorry for misinformation. Let me know if further clarification is needed.  Thank you in advance

@ilab7969133 Do you follow the steps that @dj_paige mentioned?

Are the images in the folder of hard disk available? Do you see these files in the Windows Explorer?

Do you have set the option "Show Photos in Subfolders" enabled?

I'm not sure if it can be help but try to reset the preferences of Lightroom Classic:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

Please post a screenshot of the folder navigation pane in the LR library so we can see what there is displayed.
