Yes I see what you mean, the D drive is in my library and I am working on them from there as opposed to having imported them. Believe me I am also confused, not sure of where to go from here, any ideas are welcome.
Thanks.

I'm afraid this doesn't help me understand anything. "The D drive is in my library" — do you mean you have imported the entire D drive into LrC or do you mean something else? But then you say "... as opposed to having imported them", you have to import the photos to be in your library, what does all of this mean?
In your second screen capture (the screen capture of the Import dialog box), you have selected COPY and the Destination Panel on the right is collapsed. Click on the triangle to the right of "Destination" and make sure that the Destination folder shown there is not blank and is a folder that actually exists.
In a later screen capture you show a screen capture of the Import Dialog box when you are trying to ADD the photos, and the Destination Panel does not appear. Click on copy (yes I know you want to ADD but click on Copy anyway) then right click on File Handling, select Destination and then make sure the folder shown in there is a folder that actually exists. Then click back on Add.
