Import dialogue causing export to freeze

Im exporting a file to a USB sick, if I plug the usb stick in while the export dialogue is open the import window is trying to open and causes lightroom to become unresponsive. I realise that you can turn off the "show import dialogue when card inserted" in the prefs, and this will prevent the issue, but feel that it needs to be made  so that the import dialogue cant launch while you have the export dialogue open. I dont remember this happening in previous versions bar the last couple .
