Import files based on timestamp?

I m on the latest lightroom classic on windows.  On the import dialog I have the renaming function on, which sets file name to year-mo-date-hour-min-second-seqnumber.  I notice the images shot within the same second are not ordered by their timestamp.  For example I have 3 shots in the same second, their order is different each time I import.  Is there a way to control this?  Imagine I shot a sequence of a golf swing, and the ordering of the images are all over the place.  There doesn't seem to be a way to rename with ms as far as I can tell.

Instead of adding a sequence number at the end, add 'Original File Number Suffix'. That is the number in the original file name, so that number will always be in sync (unless your camera went from IMG-9999 to IMG-0001 during the burst).

To build on dj_paige and Johan's replies, LR Import doesn't maintain the sort order when assigning sequence numbers. Johan's suggestion is the easiest, or after importing, you could sort the imported photos by capture time (LR will sort by fractional seconds correctly) and then rename the photos with a sequence number using the menu command Library > Rename Photo.

I believe this is a known bug. @johnrellis could probably answer more definitively.
