import impossible

"I completely lost the possibility of importing: CTRL + SHIFT + I combination does nothing, IMPORT key of the LIBRARY module disappeared, nothing in FILE either..."

There have been a few reports about this over the years, and unfortunately no one has posted back about what might have solved the problem (if anything).  Please try these troubleshooting steps in order:

1. Restart your computer.

2. Post a full-resolution screenshot of the LR window when in the Library module.

3. Try resetting LR's preferences:

LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.

4. Create another user account and log into that.  Does the problem go away?

5. Do a clean uninstall of all Adobe products (LR, Photoshop, Bridge, and any others you might have installed) using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool:
