Import Issue

I have a problem with importing RAW files. Each import ends up in LR crashing. There is a spike in CPU usage then crash.

Setup

LR 13.31

14th Gen i9

RTX4080 super

nvme

All drivers updated. In order to somehow do some work with files i have to import them in batches. (50-200 at a time). Anybody had that issue?

Please do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set.

Oh, and a followup inquiry. Do you see a large overheat of the CPU when this occurs?

  • What is your import source media (SD card, CF card, Hard drive, NAS, Cloud)
  • What is your import source type (Device or Files)
  • If the source media is a card, how are you connected (Card reader, USB t/from camera, WiFI to/from Camera)
  • What is your Destination media (Hard drive, NAS, Cloud)
  • What is your import method (Copy, Copy as DNG, Add, Move)

I'm not having that issue with 13.1.1. I import hundreds or thousands at a time. See my system info in my sig.

Is there any error message associated with the crash?

Have you successfully imported in LrC on this machine with previous versions of LrC? It's easy to roll back and use the older catalog that the earlier versions of LrC 13.x used.

Do you have a different video card to try?

Did a crash report get sent to Adobe?
