Import photo's in LR Classic

Hi,

I import photo's in LR Classic. I copy and convert to DNG and I make 1:1 previews as I import. When the import is finished everything looks ok but the meta data won't load. I have to close the program and restart. Than I can see the meta data and make changes. I am on the latest version Build [202506051112-5918896a]. Although this was the same with the older versions.

1. Try deleting the Helper.lrdata folder:

a) Do Catalog Settings > General > Show to open Finder / File Explorer on the current catalog folder.
b) Exit LR.
c) In that folder, delete the folder "<catalog> Helper.lrdata".
d) Restart LR, and it will rebuild the folder.

The Helper.lrdata folder caches information about metadata, keywords, folders, collections, and other things to speed the performance of LR and it can sometimes get corrupted. In recent versions, LR has used it more heavily to improve the speed of displaying metadata, and there have been a fair number of bugs with it.

2.If that doesn't help, try making a new test catalog. Does the problem occur with it?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
