Hi, I've just downloaded a set of images but when I come to look at them they are 'Greyed' out. Saying that they appear to be duplicates? The original files are there in my pictures folder but not on LR. I've obvioulsy pressed something but cannot sort It out. Please help! Thanks In advance Andy

If you find the photos in LrC and you can't edit thgem because the file cannot be found, this means that somehow the files (or the folders that contain them) have been moved, renamed or deleted in your operating system. So you have to find where the photos are now in your operating system. The instructions to fix this are here: https://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm

What Lightroom is telling you is that they are in the catalog already. Go to 'All Photographs', make sure you have no filter and look for them. If you rename images on import, then remember to look for them considering their new names.
